My Story

I am a designer, product leader, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and business. For more than a decade, my work has focused on turning complex ideas into products that are practical, scalable, and built to do more with less. I have led hardware and software products from early sketches to mass production, raised funding, built teams, and helped startups move from uncertainty to clear direction.

My journey has never been about design alone. It has been about frugality, resilience, and steady self growth. Learning to work with limited resources taught me to focus on what truly matters, to simplify without losing intent, and to build solutions that can survive pressure and change. This mindset shows up in how I support users and teams, how I allocate time and capital, and how I enter complex ecosystems without wasting energy. It is captured in my personal brand, Frugal Studio: helping founders and early stage companies thrive by designing products that do more with less, scale responsibly, and stay grounded in real needs.

Timeline

2008–2012

University Name

I began my journey by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from Universidad Véritas in Costa Rica, where I developed a strong sensitivity to social and environmental context. During this time, I balanced my studies with hands-on work in my family’s design studio and fabrication shop, learning how ideas physically transition from sketches to prototypes. This early exposure to metalwork and digital animation provided the foundational toolkit I continue to use to visualize and communicate complex technological solutions today.

My focus shifted to high-performance industries while I completed my Master of Science in Design and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and the Alta Scuola Politecnica. Working with D-Orbit and Poly-Shape, I applied advanced manufacturing and aerospace standards to develop precision mechanical components for clients like Ferrari and Thales Alenia. These experiences instilled a deep respect for Design for Manufacturing and the technical discipline required to launch reliable products in unforgiving environments.

During these years, I co-founded and led Hexagro in Milan, transforming a sustainable design concept into a global connected product ecosystem. I directed the end-to-end development of multiple hardware lines and digital platforms, managing international supply chains and securing over 1.3 million euros in funding. This era was defined by building multidisciplinary teams and navigating the complex intersection of user-centered design, hardware engineering, and scalable business strategy.

This period marks my transition into high-level advisory and fractional product roles within the international AgTech and ClimateTech sectors. I have focused on helping scaling startups like Raiz Vertical Farms and TerraArgus bridge the gap between technical R&D and commercial readiness through disciplined roadmapping and investor alignment. My work here emphasizes Hardware-as-a-Service models and the integration of IoT ecosystems to drive measurable growth and sustainability outcomes.
